Michael Slowey

Mikey Slowey is a vocalist, songwriter, and music producer based in Long Island, NY. Mikey’s musical journey began at the age of 12 when he received his first guitar for Christmas. He began writing songs and believed that he had found his voice and a passion for singing. Throughout those formative years, Mikey developed his skills by taking voice lessons, playing lead roles in musical productions, and singing in advanced choirs.

This experience earned him a scholarship to Stetson University, where he studied opera and music education for two years. After many years of studying classical music, Mikey felt a pull toward more contemporary styles, which led him to transfer to Berklee College of Music. At Berklee, Mikey expanded his vocal versatility and became proficient in many different styles of singing, including pop, rock, soul, jazz, and crooner vocal stylings. After graduating from Berklee in 2014, Mikey moved to New York City, where he established a full-time music career, split between teaching, performing, and producing music for various artists.

Today, Mikey performs with multiple private event agencies and bands around the tri-state area. You can also find him gigging around the city with his own band, Slow Riches.
