Michiko 'Michi' Egger

Michiko “Michi” Egger is a Broadway, touring, and session guitarist and doubler (mandolin, banjo, ukulele, piano) based in New York City. She is best known for her work with the 8 time Tony Award winning Broadway show Hadestown. She is currently the Guitar 2 chair-holder of the 1st National Tour of The Notebook.

Michi has worked as a guitarist and doubler for a number of Broadway shows, including Hadestown, Six, Death Becomes Her, Real Women Have Curves, and Jagged Little Pill. Aside from her work in theater, Michi is also a singer-songwriter and composer. She has scored a number of films, and has released a large catalogue of original music.

As an instructor, she has 15+ years of one on one teaching experience, and most recently taught at the renowned Berklee College of Music as a guest artist — working with students in ensemble settings and presenting clinics and master classes.
